How to get involved

The Critical Transitions Project partners with local schools that sponsor one or more first generation immigrant students to participate in a work-based internship and guided mentoring. The school identifies youth who could benefit from the program and helps facilitate those
students’ involvement.

The Critical Transitions Project relies on partnerships with local organizations that serve as host
sites for students to perform job shadowing and internships. We partner with private businesses
and community-based organizations that can introduce young people to the
particular demands, challenges, and practices of their workplace.
